Luis Arias

President & Founder, San Diego Drivers United

Luis Arias is the President and Founder of San Diego Drivers United, an organization dedicated to advancing the rights, economic well-being, and collective voice of rideshare and gig workers in San Diego.

As an experienced rideshare driver, Luis understands the challenges drivers face—from rising operating costs and unpredictable earnings to account deactivations and limited access to support. These experiences shaped his commitment to bringing drivers together and advocating for fair compensation, transparent policies, and meaningful opportunities to be heard.

Through San Diego Drivers United, Luis works to connect drivers with practical resources, community partnerships, and support when navigating industry challenges. His advocacy includes engaging with local officials, promoting driver protections, and encouraging collaboration on the future of transportation.

Luis’s mission is to build a stronger, more informed driver community where working people have a voice in the decisions that affect their livelihoods.
