Through his experience as a rideshare driver, Luis has gained firsthand knowledge of the daily challenges drivers face, particularly account deactivations, app-related issues, and other common platform concerns.
Luis serves as a volunteer with San Diego Drivers United and has been actively involved with the organization since its early days. He has participated in numerous driver meetings, community outreach events, public demonstrations, and advocacy efforts, helping strengthen the organization and support the driver community throughout San Diego.
As Driver Support Coordinator, Luis provides guidance and assistance to drivers experiencing account deactivations and other platform-related issues. He works to help drivers understand their options, connect them with available resources, and support them through the resolution process.
Luis is committed to serving the driver community and believes that collaboration, transparency, and strong community involvement are essential to achieving fair treatment and better working conditions for all rideshare drivers.

For more than six years, he has led educational and financial initiatives, coordinating teams, managing communications, organizing activities, and improving administrative processes. His experience has enabled him to build efficient organizational systems and strengthen collaboration within community-based projects.
As a rideshare driver, Hector understands firsthand the challenges drivers face every day, giving him valuable insight into the needs of the driver community.
As the Organization & Communications Coordinator for San Diego Drivers United, Hector plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s internal structure and communication efforts. He helps coordinate volunteers and members, supports organizational planning, improves communication between teams, and assists with the development of outreach initiatives and strategic partnerships that advance the organization’s mission.
Hector is committed to building a stronger, more connected driver community through effective organization, clear communication, and dedicated volunteer service, helping San Diego Drivers United continue its growth and advocacy on behalf of rideshare drivers.
