Luis Daniel Romero

Luis Daniel Romero studied Criminology in Tijuana, Mexico. After moving to the United States, he worked in the hospitality, landscaping, and residential and commercial painting industries before beginning his career as a full-time Uber driver in 2021.

Through his experience as a rideshare driver, Luis has gained firsthand knowledge of the daily challenges drivers face, particularly account deactivations, app-related issues, and other common platform concerns.

Luis serves as a volunteer with San Diego Drivers United and has been actively involved with the organization since its early days. He has participated in numerous driver meetings, community outreach events, public demonstrations, and advocacy efforts, helping strengthen the organization and support the driver community throughout San Diego.

As Driver Support Coordinator, Luis provides guidance and assistance to drivers experiencing account deactivations and other platform-related issues. He works to help drivers understand their options, connect them with available resources, and support them through the resolution process.

Luis is committed to serving the driver community and believes that collaboration, transparency, and strong community involvement are essential to achieving fair treatment and better working conditions for all rideshare drivers.
