DRIVER DAILY · TIP #10 · SEPTEMBER 25, 2026
Keep your earnings in your hands.
A caller who knows your name or trip details still may not be support. One login code can put your account and payouts at risk.
Quick rule / Regla rápida: Never give a caller your login code, password or bank details.

English

Why this matters. A fake support call may arrive while you are working and create urgency about a ride, payout or account review. Uber and Lyft warn that phishing can compromise driver accounts and earnings. A familiar logo, caller ID or trip detail is not proof of who is calling.

Three things to do today

01 · Save a rule. Do not read a verification code aloud or share a password, Social Security number or bank information with an unexpected caller or text.
02 · Verify inside the app. End the call. Open the driver app yourself and contact support through its Help or Support section. Do not use a link or number supplied by the caller.
03 · Check your payouts. Review the account’s payment destination. If you shared a code or see a change you did not make, reset your password and report the suspicious activity through the platform immediately.

A 20-second example

A caller says, “I’m from support. A passenger complained; tell me the code we just texted or your account will be paused.” Your answer: “I’ll contact support in my app.” Hang up. Do not read the code. A real account issue can be checked through official support.

Question for the group: Have you received a suspicious support call or text? What warning sign did you notice? Please do not post codes, phone numbers or account details.

03 · Revisa tus pagos. Comprueba a dónde llegan tus depósitos.
